I don't get this clamour for Ian Murray and even he's trying to distance himself from the job. It's one thing to bring pride and professionalism to a part-time club like Dumbarton but to take over a club with Hibs probems is just nuts! he's nowhere near ready. Number two great idea.
There a poster on here says he's never seen a successful ex Hibs player as manager in twenty years. Well I've watched them since we last had one, Eddie Turnbull in the early seventies. And lest we forget older Hibbies, Hibs legend Pat Stanton who had to endure "Stanton must go chants" when he was manager. It just does not work out full stop. Heros to zeros!
We constantly all go overboard about "he knows the club and he'll play the Hibs way" that's why were cack for crying out loud!

Stating in the paper nothing automatic about the lure of hibs? don't think he has got the job and been ionformed this morning or last night. We need someone with experiance anyway.

Well mental hibby I couldn't agree more, sounds like were roughly the same age. What bothers me is take mcleish out of the aquassion & every manager we've had in more than 20 years have been gash, even Mowbray's team were pretty pure towards the end. I'd like to try the foreign route it's something we've never really tried. We need something different

It was me that posted it as am only 29 so I missed the good old days my old man grandad went on about, unfortunately it's been mostly dissapontment year after year. Think hibs way is bring in a manager that's wants to play attacking football with little expectation on him will do well, bring a big name in fans have big expectations and allways fail because we won't results from the start and to quick to judge.

Nothing Murray says impressed me.

Also, he plays the long ball.

What does impress me though, is that he swaps players positions around and transforms them.

Jc did well forget he one a cup and players revolted because they were worked to hard try working in low payed job hard its all rosy munitary wise in football and petries frugal ways not easy needs to pull out all stops to keep a good manager not alienate and bring back sucess to club and fast flow footy too
