I have just heard a rumour from someone with some strong links to Hibernian ( ex player) He says that Petrie has been talking with Tottenham for some months now with a view to getting some tie up with them after they approached both us and I believe Motherwell. I would not think that Tottenham will be interested in any of the Hibs squad just now but they will have 1st refusal in future should we ever sell. This what got my attention though. I was told that Tottenham would loan us Harry Winks for 1 season instead of paying us a fee. I have no idea if this info is pie in sky or something in it as I said it all comes from a ex player. This is my opinion now but it sounds good and makes sense and would explain why not many new signings been made yet. Maybe we waiting to announce this. If we got Winks and a few promising youngsters it would be excellent and I think we would be number 1 draw for any Scottish youngster . Join Hibs and have prospect of joining Tottenham in future if you do well ( for a fee! )

Loan us winks and don’t pay us? Don’t understand?
Anyway winks would have bn in Russia with England squad if he hadn’t had ankle problems, then surgery in May, moving to Hibernian for a year would surley be a step in the wrong direction? Ex player told you? Mmmm has billy liar play for hibs?
