If stokes signs there's no need for a "surprise striker" just signed the Lithuanian striker and there's Murray and shaw. That's plenty. I'd rather it be someone else but If stokes is the man then we'll have to just hope he's up for it.
I'd agree with 90 and say a wingers needed more than anything else right now. That's taking into account that stokes is a definite.

Think the church option is gone now for definite. It's a shame I think he would have suited us. If we get stokes I'm not going to lie I'll b disappointed, fair enough he had 2 good games but he made no other impact and that was in the championship. I'd be happier with cifti if I'm honest but even still we could do better surely?!

Hard to speculate when we don't know what he's asking for but if it wasn't too far over budget I would have tried a bit more.
Is the fact we haven't upped the contract offer tell us he isn't Lennons priority and he has someone else in mind?
