I don't get this clamour for Ian Murray and even he's trying to distance himself from the job. It's one thing to bring pride and professionalism to a part-time club like Dumbarton but to take over a club with Hibs probems is just nuts! he's nowhere near ready. Number two great idea.
There a poster on here says he's never seen a successful ex Hibs player as manager in twenty years. Well I've watched them since we last had one, Eddie Turnbull in the early seventies. And lest we forget older Hibbies, Hibs legend Pat Stanton who had to endure "Stanton must go chants" when he was manager. It just does not work out full stop. Heros to zeros!
We constantly all go overboard about "he knows the club and he'll play the Hibs way" that's why were cack for crying out loud!

1.) Bookies Fav not a great sign when did a bookies fav last get the job at er

2.) Stating in the paper nothing automatic about the lure of hibs? don't think he has got the job and been ionformed this morning or last night. We need someone with experiance anyway.

3.) Well mental hibby I couldn't agree more, sounds like were roughly the same age. What bothers me is take mcleish out of the aquassion & every manager we've had in more than 20 years have been gash, even Mowbray's team were pretty pure towards the end. I'd like to try the foreign route it's something we've never really tried. We need something different

4.) It was me that posted it as am only 29 so I missed the good old days my old man grandad went on about, unfortunately it's been mostly dissapontment year after year. Think hibs way is bring in a manager that's wants to play attacking football with little expectation on him will do well, bring a big name in fans have big expectations and allways fail because we won't results from the start and to quick to judge.

5.) Your bang on m8 time for a complete change,

6.) Nothing Murray says impressed me.

Also, he plays the long ball.

What does impress me though, is that he swaps players positions around and transforms them.

7.) You missed the good old days you say. well I am 41 and can't remember them. lol

8.) Let him manage the kids then

9.) Mowbray is the only manager since Eddie turnbull to achieve two top 4 finishes on the bounce.

10.) Jc did well forget he one a cup and players revolted because they were worked to hard try working in low payed job hard its all rosy munitary wise in football and petries frugal ways not easy needs to pull out all stops to keep a good manager not alienate and bring back sucess to club and fast flow footy too

Please please please. Will the eejit who thinks league 1 in England is better than the SPL get a grip. I've witnessed the league first hand at Chesterfield and no way is it as good as he thinks! Hibs v Rangers in Scottish Championship or Chesterfield v Crewe? c'mon mate get a grip!

mentalhibby

1.) It's not me, but have to say the bottom half of the SPL is on a par with the Championship in England. Please do not get carried away with the quality of Scottish football.

2.) Meant to say League 1 in England.
Celtic would not be able to compete in the premier league with their current team.

Mr Aware you are 100% bang on with regards our league form. However you must concede that the final proved what they are capable of doing when they face a team not set up purely to stop us playing! We still have a team capable of winning the championship but we have to toughen up that defence!

I live 20 miles from Rotherham and i can tell you the fans of Sheffield United think and are a far bigger club than Rotherham. They can't get out of league 1 but to say Rotherham are bigger because they're in the Championship above them would bring you ridicule and a smack in the face. Of course Hibs are a bigger club and despite being stuck in the Sc Championship they're still Scotlands fifth biggest club.
Alan Stubbs ambition next season is to guide Rotherham away from the bottom of the league and his claim that getting Hibs promotion wouldn't be better than the cup win is rediculous. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

I realise you posted this before yesterday but you do realise that if we don't get up we'll have to sell or release half that team. No tv coverage, no big games against Rangers and if United escape the drop it'll be Hamilton or Killie games to look forward to. Let's just get back up first before we count our chickens or guess what our team will be.

As for players getting paid monthly? You need that money first before you can pay it "ya roaster". That comes from walk up fans. No new players no walk up fans. don't you know basic business yourself?

For crying out loud! Look no one is expecting Hibs to spend millions. Adam Rooney didn't cost Aberdeen millions did he!! he's a player we could have, no to hell with it, should have got.
