Youssouf Mulumba (ex-Killie) back on Lennon's radar according to a couple of sources. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Currently a free agent, at 31 year old surely a 2 year deal would be enough to entice him to the Leith San Siro. Mulumba during interviews on a couple of occasions said Hibs impressed him most with our style of play. AGAIN MAKE THIS HAPPEN! No transfer fee, not commanding stupid wages, this for me is an absolute no brainer guys. Thoughts?

Agreed mate.

According to Parker loan deal for Daryl Horgan could be completed in time for Thursday's Europa game. Hopefully this will be the case as Lennon's recruitment has been top notch to date and the boy has a few caps to his name. I wouldn't be surprised also if we re-new our interest in Ali Crawford after the other mob have refused to offer him a deal. I think we should overlook this fact and at least take a proper look at him, plenty of SPFL experience and a free agent. Surely worth bringing him in on trial.

I think last Friday was the last day for registering players for this round.

{Ed007's Note - During qualifiers and play-offs clubs can make two wildcard signings up until midnight going into the day of the first leg, so that's midnight Wednesday for you guys.}

Lennon has came out and stated he'd like to sign another 2/ 3 players after watching us the other night minus a few regulars I wonder do we actually need them? Stokes is well known to be our primary target and obviously he is an ER legend but I question whether he is required. Commons another quality player but is he a necessity (still want him)? With the emergence of 3/ 4 quality youngsters to compliment the existing squad I'll stick my neck on the line and say this is the best Hibs team in 10/ 20 years. GGTTH.

It's certainly going to be difficult to keep them all happy. We now have 9 defenders, 4 FB's and 5 CH's. If we bring in a striker, who does he play? He chased Matulevicius for a yr he's surely going to play him. Simon Murray is scoring goals and Boyle is a must for me, plus Oli Shaw's knocking on the door. We are well off in midfield as well with Slivka being added, and some young guys in there to. It looks like being the best squad we've had for a long time.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 14:42:02
Big L that is my only concern can Lennon keep them all happy? Probably not but the competition for places is intense which can only be a good thing for the club. 100% agree with you regarding Squirrel his pace and directness adds another dimension to our play and Murray's goals and work-rate so far can't be dismissed either.

Lithuanian Dave will be the target man again I agree but the explosiveness of both Boyle and Murray will be utilised at Ibrox and Celtic Park I'd imagine when we'll see less of the ball than we've become accustomed to.

Like all fans I love a new signing but I hope any new arrival now is a higher calibre of player if it's going to merit possibly hindering the progress of this exciting next crop!

3.) 27 Jul 2017 15:11:40
Good points Oban, great to see the 4 young guys involved, I wonder if their's anymore. Might have to take in a Dev game, see for myself.

4.) 27 Jul 2017 19:25:29
Best in 10/ 20? We could still easily be battling relegation as this team could only win a lot of gamss 1-0 with Cummings.

Depending on more signings, this squad could still finish anywhere between 2nd to 11th.

5.) 27 Jul 2017 23:22:25
MrAware can you tell me a time in the past twenty years we had a better squad? Mowbrays young brood were good and we cashed in financially but the overall squad in my opinion was inferior to the Lennon's current side.

Bournemouth striker Joe Quigley linked with a loan move to The Hibees. 6ft 3inch 20 year old striker. doesn't exactly boast the best goalscoring stats but could be a possibly replacement for Graham.

Reports coming in we've signed Sean Maguire from Cork city from under Preston's noses. 37 goals from 49 games last season. If true sizeable fee would of been required!

He's already a Preston player. Signed a deal beginning of June.

I stated on 6/ 7/ 18 I was getting nervous about the SJM situation I'm now extremely nervous. Why don't we contact Celtic and ask for Allan and Christie plus cash? It isn't a secret SJM wants to go there so is there any point in risking him signing a pre-contract in January? Lennon can't operate properly in the market until this deal is concluded the longer it takes the more we're playing with fire. English transfer deadline has been brought forward once that passes power in the McGinn negotiations changes hands!

As I stated on here last week I've got faith in the board mainly LD to get us the best deals possible but starting to get concerned with the McGinn situation. Some sources say we're holding out for 2m plus Allan and Christie on loan which would be great business and I'd certainly be a happy Hibee! My concern is we allow SJM to sign a pre-contract in January and lose potentially 4m which would be financial suicide. If the above deal goes ahead coupled with McLaren signing on again in place of Murray. GGTTH.

Looking like a brilliant bit of business from Stubbs & Co. Yes Scott Allan is a brilliant player probably our best player since Griffiths, but £275k in the bank for a player certain to sign a pre-contract with Rangers in January is good business. Add in MacGeouch signing on a decent length contract with Henderson coming in on loan for the season is tremendous negotiating on Hibs behalf. I maybe being greedy but hopefully Stokes or MacGregor being thrown in aswell would be the icing on the cake. There has been whispers although Stokes comes with baggage obviously, but he'd be worth his weight in goals!!!

Just to remind you that Leigh griffiths has never belonged to Hibernian fc in any form so to compare him along side Allan is wrong

I don't think it will ever happen but as much as I despise the guy he certainly was (is) a very good player and would be an improvement on Stevenson. He would completely suit our style of play but to reiterate I don't think this could materialise, too much hatred to overcome and I suspect we're not his preferred choice of club.

Milligan has been tracked by Lennon for a while and has the pedigree and experience to really help us this season, we'll need to see what he's got left in the tank at 33. Hopefully this won't affect any potential Mulumbu deal who I think would be a revelation at Easter Road, in my opinion this pushes Whittaker further down the pecking order which I'm delighted with! (Legs have gone) We all want Scotty Allan to return but I think we all know that will depend on the Celtic board putting the petty lip back in, I suspect they will but on deadline day!

We have to give the troops time we've lost the most influential player in the division in SJM but brought very shrewd signings in. Mallan will prove to be a very accomplished player but he's a different type to McGinn and our midfield dynamics are going to change. Horgan has massive potential along with Agyepong and both will offer us something different than what we've seen so far when up to speed. McLaren has returned but was lacking sharpness and Kamberi is carrying a knock when these guys get firing we know what they can achieve. I'd love to see Mulumba arrive as I've said a couple of times already along with a returning Scott Allan (? ) and I'd be very confident with the squad for the season.

SJM is quite simply a Hibee legend!
10% sell on seemingly part of deal which could easy range from 2.5-5m alone in the inflated English transfer market.
All the best John FOREVER A HIBEE.

Having watched three games with Bogdan, two of which I attended, I can honestly say he is horrendous. He hasn't made any save of note in any of the three games, his kicking is suspect and he doesn't command his box. The first goal conceded on Thursday night at his near post might be the mistake that costs us Europe, plain and simple, criminal for any goalkeeper. I've got faith in Lenny when it comes to signings but occasionally the gaffer along with staff get it wrong, unfortunately not every signing will be a Kamberi! I really hope next week in Greece he puts faith in Laidlaw as right now Bogdan is looking like our achilles heel. You've got to take notice when all the Liverpudlian papers were mocking his performance expectedly!
