If Commons can get fit what a player we would have on our hands. It would be folly to think at his age he will reach the heights of his Celtic glory days but what a player to be able to bring off the bench for the last thirty minutes of a game. His knowledge off the pitch could be even more important given some of the talented prospects we've got coming through, an older experienced winner he'll command their respect.

Back surgery is a tough one.
He took less than 6 weeks to get close to fit on loan and by the end of that he was playing properly and getting involved tracking back etc as well as making the runs forward.

More than happy to take him on at that level in a few months or however long his recovery takes. He's a proper pro and the squad took to him in a short time, treats the fans the right way too - perfect mentor figure for Martin, Fraser Murray and any of the younger players coming through right now. Could even teach Simon Murray and Shaw a few things too.
