Hibs set to sign loan deal for shane long! what a signing if pushed through in time! GGTTH.

1.) 30 Aug 2017 17:42:33
Would love to belive this rumour unclegrant but you have an incredible history of posting absolute keek!

2.) 30 Aug 2017 21:05:01
If he's leaving S'Hampton then their will be much better offers on the table than a loan deal to us. Some of the lesser teams in the Prem and almost every Championship side would be keen.

17 Jul 2017 14:18:48
I think everyone needs to calm down tih hibs transfers. We are in a very good position, and like always, hibs keep out of the papers as much as possible. Exception was the Whittaker deal which has dragged everyday, but we then sign him up on a 3 year deal, with marciano on a 4 year deal.

Lennon isn't going to panic buy and get players in free or cheap or loan. He will be looking at areas and targettting options, hate to admit, but most of them will be players we have not heard of. Lennon always has doen this, and these players end up being sold on for profit. i.e celtic.

Have patience, everyone giving hibs a hard time, appreciate that we are pushing the youth through at the moment and simon murray looks like a work horse. Personally i think we need a wee nifty striker that will be a nuisance for defence, like cummings but a bit more aggresive. Scott mcdonald has been mentioned but he doesn't have the legs anymore to push us on. Play murray alongside a proven wee goalscorer with mcginn in behind, boyle and swanson out wide for width and we will find ourselves scoring a lot more goals.

Only think i worry about is Sir david gray. can't imagine we have signed whittaker to sit on a bench or play as a CM weekly. Lennon obviously has a plan but looks likely a 3 at the back of efe, hanlon and mcgregor with two full backs.

Sorry fot the long post, just a lot needed to be said. GGTTH.

1.) 17 Jul 2017 15:15:37
Everything we've done since Lennon came in has been sniffed out by the press. I don't think it's the case that we're as secretive with him in charge, he prefers to address speculation than leave it rumbling.

That's why the silence is worrying. I trust him and Dempster to work as hard as they can to improve us, it just gets frustrating to watch good players move around for very little money that would improve our first team or at least give us more strength in depth.

2.) 17 Jul 2017 15:51:43
First of all Lennons good buys are on a par with his bad buys throughout his career. Nifty striker? We have one in Murray, to play along side a target man e. g. Cifti
I agree Whittaker has not bn signed for the bench and he plays on either flank in midfield, think Boyle will be the one dropped most weeks, Horses for courses tho throughout the season.

3.) 17 Jul 2017 16:52:24
Well inclegrant I wished I shared your optimism. Lennon who I like has bought or loaned more bad players than good players therefore were right to worry also any targets he has in mind will be snapped up if we don't act. i.e Adam Rooney. We don't need to calm down mate we're just concerned.

4.) 17 Jul 2017 17:18:42
don't think its lenny, stated before hell be putting option a or b as targets in certain positions- Rod will see wage demands and we get option c,
we need a cf and a winger Humphrey or penant would have done on wing don't think we pay enough both know what's on table in English lower divs so c u ltr.
like everyone else how can Aberdeen do it and we cant
our budget should be the same? minus prem placing money
season tickets 12k btw we have another 12k who don't buy season tickets, there's a reason for that rp + tf tighter than a camels arse in a sandstorm.

5.) 17 Jul 2017 17:44:26
Aberdeen can do it because they have got a new multi million pound director on the board willing to spend some of his own money.

6.) 17 Jul 2017 20:38:57
Getting boring now as said before and we have only owner who takes money back from the club.

7.) 18 Jul 2017 20:59:15
Look across the city, we're not the only club with an owner earning off their investment ;)

29 Jun 2017 15:40:24
Marciano 4 year deal!
Very good business lenon and dempster!

Defence looking solid of:

Rocky Gk
Ambroce CB
Hanlon CB
Mcgregor CB
Stevenson LWB
Sir David Gray RWB (Maybe whittaker)

Midfield i think we need an extra playmaker infront of bartley alongside mcginn. what's everyones thoughts?

i am thinking a 4, 3, 1, 2 formation next season.

Murray says he would like to play up top with another striker too!

1.) 29 Jun 2017 15:52:14
All we need is strikers and a scoring mid. C'Mon LD speak to Lenny, let's get it done!

2.) 29 Jun 2017 16:07:12
I think we'll play 3 5 2 when defending 532 gray and Stevenson wing backs . definitely need at least one top
striker problem 2 and a quality midfielder. But a agree defence looks good.

3.) 29 Jun 2017 17:17:58
agree- defence looks solid. midfield good enough. need at least 1 wide player and 1 striker up front.
i know a lot of fans don't agree but i think DYLAN MCGEOUCH is our best midfielder, at least on a par with super john mcginn.

4.) 29 Jun 2017 21:26:02
I agree, if mcgeouch could keep himself fit I'd rather
have him than mcginn. Liam Henderson and Rooney
from aberdeen and in be feeling confident of top 3-4 is a realistic aim.

5.) 29 Jun 2017 21:20:20
We need a strong hard midfielder and out and out striker and were there come on hibs looking forward to a great season looking at the fixtures I see 66 points.

6.) 29 Jun 2017 22:22:44
Another striker coming in no more info.

7.) 30 Jun 2017 17:24:05
Dylan is our only natural playmaker with brilliant awareness and is composed on the ball - he can control games in the middle and be the difference often. He's less effective without a central attacking midfielder in front of him to link up with, and it's getting harder to keep him fit though.

27 Jun 2017 13:56:26
Cifti heading for talks with Lennon. Would take him. Need a nifty wee striker to play off him, don't think we have that quite yet. Keatings would have done the trick!

1.) 27 Jun 2017 14:31:58
I would take him as well,

He never did very well in Poland and then got injured but he's got to be worth it.

2.) 27 Jun 2017 16:14:47
Cifti well worth a try surely?

3.) 27 Jun 2017 16:35:25
Just thinking, he signed a 4yr deal still got 2yrs to go, like a lot of them he won't want to give up the cash and who can blame him. Maybe get him on a loan deal!

4.) 27 Jun 2017 17:16:56
yes, would take him.

06 Jun 2017 11:44:27
Hibs have agreed to take Ivory Coast striker on trial. Didier Ya Konan - had to google him. source from boy who drinks with garry parker at the local.

1.) 06 Jun 2017 12:07:12
Looks like he has fallen out of favour at his current club.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 12:28:44
I think the name might indicate that this a wind up.

3.) 06 Jun 2017 17:22:46
Still too high a level for Scotland or Hibs. Wouldn't be on trial, he's well known.

4.) 06 Jun 2017 19:33:54
I would like to no where he's on trial? Hibs staff are on a summer break!

5.) 07 Jun 2017 11:21:26
It's a wind up lol.

Quick question, would mcginn partner Silvka in the middle? I would love to see that against rangers with stokes and the ginger ninja up top!

02 Aug 2017 16:22:31

Ambrose Mcgregor Hanlon

Whittaker Stevenson

Swanson Mcginn Stokes

s. Murray

My starting 11 for next season! Strongest team. Stokes can go up top and boyle out left also, swap wings with swanson.

1.) 02 Aug 2017 19:29:38
Stokes is not a no 9. His best games are left channel. Think back to the cup final under Fenlon, Stokes murdered us playing left of centre. The same in our cup win. Simon Murray scores goals thru the middle, that's what he's doing now. He should play there wi Boyle wide right. You've left McGeough out, that's a no no!

2.) 02 Aug 2017 21:22:07
depending if playing home or away, and the opposition, I see 2 from mcgeoch, bartley, slivka playing in away games, obviously mcginnn Boyle looks a cert, I don't want murray out on the wing, but can see it happening in those tougher matches if Deivy is the hitman. don't ask me about swanson and stokes who will play a lot of games, and most home ones. good to have options though.

3.) 02 Aug 2017 22:53:39
It's going to be difficult keeping them all happy. Simon Murray playing on the last man, wi Boyle's pace on the right, just think we need to keep the pace in the team. good partnership.

20 Jul 2017 16:44:31
Hibs starting line up next season based on signings, foundations and pre season? let's see what you think!

05 Jul 2017 17:31:41
Season tickets arriving! GGTTH

Hopefully followed by Stokes by the end of the week!

27 Jun 2017 14:06:23

Absolute nonsense. Hibs will win the league with the team we have plus if we sign Jermaine pennant and Defoe like the rumours say, then we pose a real threat.
