The World Game:

Tim Cahill's agent has approached Hibs and Hearts to sign him to boost his world cup chances.

At 38, no thanks. Seen that St Johnstone have made inquiries about re-signing Swanson on loan until the end of the season.

Any rumours on Cummings coming back on loan? Pointless him sitting on bench and not coming on in half the games.

MrAware

1.) 07 Jan 2018 11:27:19
Rumour he is on his way to rangers for £1Mill.

{Ed007's Note - That won't be happening mate. Apart from them not having the money, I would be absolutely flabbergasted if Cummings even thought about signing for them.}

2.) 07 Jan 2018 17:34:21
Big l he won't be going to rangers. Hearts were talking about getting him on loan but that won't happen either. Hits on the other chance maybe.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 18:36:36
Thought it might be a loan deal to the end of season, with a view to permanent, the same as they have just done wi the guy from Brighton.

{Ed007's Note - I just don't see it happening. It's all just spin to keep their fans happy.}

4.) 08 Jan 2018 00:40:13
Jamie McLaren looks the real deal imo.

5.) 08 Jan 2018 21:03:15
Looks like your right Ed, some bookies have apparently suspended betting on Sevco getting relegated. That can only mean administration and points deduction, which I think might be 25 points. What a crew, how does a club get in this mess wi crowds of 45,000?

{Ed007's Note - Living outwith their means and spending money they didn't have. When the started again they should have invested in their youth programme instead of pretending to be Billy Bigbaws in the lower leagues. They need to overtake the likes of yourselves and Aberdeen before they even think about toppling Celtic but their support won't entertain that, they've had their judgement clouded and commons sense blocked by years of Minty's moonbeams yet still haven't twigged it was all done on the bank's money. Their ego and arrogance has became their downfall.}

6.) 08 Jan 2018 23:01:01
From 5000/1 this morning to 500/1 this afternoon to no more bets tonight. Something is going on!

Hibs linked with Australian international, Jamie McLaren.

Good record in Ausyland, German 2nd tier side wanting to put him out on loan.

Matulevičius has been given Hibs No. 9 shirt!

Very bad sign!

James Collins springs to mind!

If Lennon thinks Matulevičius, Stokes, Murray and Graham can score enough goals in SPL then he is delusional.

We are desperately in need of a goalscorer.

P. s nobody mention Murray, he scored 4 in 4 in last seasons league cup then went on to only score 10 in the league.

MrAware

1.) 27 Jul 2017 19:58:17
What's in a number these days? Nothing
Would you be happier if he wore 14?
He is a number 9? He will play most weeks as Lennon always likes to play with a target man everywhere he's been. stokes is a proven goalscorer in this league, Murray chips in with the same 14 as last year, another 15 coming from midfield, share a further 10 throughout the defence we will be fine. We don't have buckets of money to spend?

2.) 27 Jul 2017 22:25:54
Simon Murray didn't play as a striker for Dun Utd he played out wide. I suggested that we go for hI'm last year before the break, at the break Lennon offered £50K DU refused it. I think he's a cracking player he will get 20 goals this season if he gets to play thru the middle. I don't think Stokes will sign, he has been offered a hefty signing on payment, a bonus based on goals and a decent basic, he will still get better elsewhere. He's 29 and it's his last decent contract, I think he will go for the money.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 23:12:02
I have to echo Big L if Murray is played through the middle he'll smash through the 20 goal barrier everyone seems so obsessed with. He's scored five in three matches from open play albeit against lesser opposition but he looks sharp and I'll confidently predict he'll have fifteen goals for Santa arriving and a revised contract in January!

Matulevicius has been brought in as an old fashioned battering ram who will most likely do the unsung work for others take take the plaudits. with this talented squad they'll be plenty of takers! In Lennon We Trust GGTTH.

4.) 29 Jul 2017 11:02:00
From clips viciouus sid works the channels on both sides maybe his movement brings space for others more a holt role and in past we run out of steam at xmas squad rotation will help murray and stokes or boyles pace mb can still see mcgin awy jan mb if the juve guy brought on for cover?

5.) 31 Jul 2017 06:07:36
That's what we've missed under Lennon though, a striker that works the centre halves and drags them sideways across the forward line - all too often last season it looked like they were being told to head straight for the penalty area and wait for the ball in from one player out wide who had no shorter link up option.

Sounds like Vykintas has settled straight in too - if we can keep him happy he'll be a massive bargain.

Fraser Murray getting games is pleasing too, I wanted to see more of him last season with Martin.

25 Jul 2017 19:30:55
Shall we make a Fantasy Football league for Hibs rumours? Or does nobody play it here? Ha.

MrAware

{Ed007's Note - There's a Liverpool fan that runs one across all the sites mate you're all more than welcome to join in. I've asked Ed033 to put the info up on the Scottish pages but if you want to start a Hibs one of your own go for it.}

Should we make a move for Stephen Dobbie?

I know he is 35 but he looks as if he could be a goalscoring midfielder in SPL for another 2 years.

We desperately need a goalscoring midfielder as McGeouch and Bartley are useless when it comes to goals and McGinn isn't much better.

MrAware

1.) 28 Jan 2018 20:11:04
He is 35 years old well done, but a midfielder he’s not!
Out and out striker.

My friends are wondering if Hibs v Hearts is on Hibs TV as a one off payment as it isn't on TV for them. I don't know as I've neevr paid for Hibs TV.

Anyone know?

MrAware

1.) 21 Feb 2017 19:48:26
I've got Hibs TV. You don't normally get live games unless you live in another country, furthermore your not allowed to televise games when Champions league games are on!

Just say we do get promoted this season, who would we all give new contracts to as many are out of contract?

2017 summer:
Harris
Holt
Laidlaw
Gallacher
Shinnie
Bartley
Keatings
Humphrey
Marciano
Fyvie
Boyle
Fontaine
Stevenson
Gray
McGregor

2018 summer:
Handling
Insall
Stanton
Graham
McGeouch
Forster

2019 summer:
Hanlon
McGinn

2020 summer:
Cummings.

MrAware

1.) 14 Feb 2017 23:54:12
Hi Mr Aware! Where you been? Laidlaw reserve. Bartley Marciano Fyvie Boyle Stevenson Gray and McGregor get new contracts. Jury out on Keatings. Extend contracts if poss of McGeough Forster Hanlon McGinn and improve Cummings. We also have Scott Martin for next year. Graham Stanton Handling will obviously remain to 2018. Gives us a chance to bring in or promote new blood.

2.) 21 Feb 2017 15:19:59
Big L, I have just been using Hibs rumoursNow page as that gives every single article on Hibs and transfer confirmations and rumours. You should check it out.

I never included youngsters like Martin on the list until they are a confirmed regular.

It's a pity we haven't had any youngsters being established good first team players in the championship except Cummings. The championship should've been a great opportunity to get youngsters playing but i just guess they aren't anywhere near good enough, unfortunately.

3.) 21 Feb 2017 23:00:02
Do you mean Hibs rumours Now Mr A?

Chris Burke is in need of a team.

Us having a ging as manager may help persuade him.

Lennon, Gemmil, McKay, Dickov, Hughes, Evans & McCall are the 7 it will be between.

Anyone else annoyed we're not willing to speak to St Johnstone about Tommy Wright? We have £120k compensation to use and Wright would definitely do much better points wise than Stubbs.

As for the rest, I hate Lennon but he will influence players to sign and is likely to win the league.
-Dickov was useless at Oldham and Doncaster.
-Hughes was shocking in his last Falkirk year, awful last 10 months at Hibs, awful at Hartlepool and fell right down hill when Latapy left as assistant at Inverness. Hate him, too.
-Evans is guaranteed to get us promoted but maybe not as exciting.
-McCall I think would do good at another Motherwell sized wee team but would just be typical if he failed at Hibs. Likeable guy though.
-McKay great at Watford and Cardiff but Wigan was very iffy.
-Gemmill, I am bored of us being linked with young coaches who haven't managed yet. He is a risk and we don't need to take a risk.

P.s we should really try to stop appointing ex Celts or Celtic supporters. I get really bored of us being thought of as mini Celtic. We are our own team in Scotland and should have our own identity and not copy others.

To call Kenny Miller a goal scorer is like calling McGeouch a sprinter.

He doesn't score enough. It would just be like for like.

We need someone who can score 1 in 2. Maybe Maclaren can but he is an unknown quantity and a big risk if we let the window end without getting another forward.

He's never been the right man for the job, i just wanted him over some other horrific options.

How many games do we actually win by 2 goals or score 3 in? Every win is a real struggle. Given our budget, he should be performing up with Aberdeen.

I mentioned it before about Fenlon but when you judge if you have a good enough squad, you should look at how many goals you think each player will score in the season. So many players don't score or barely score for us. How can we win when the correct players haven't been signed. Lennon's signing ability has been weak at Hibs.
McGeouch, Bartley and Barker haven't scored yet; McGinn doesn't score enough for a so called £4mil player; Boyle was bought as a bench player so I'd excuse his goal average but Murray has never scored a lot and Stokes is on £6k a week and doesn't score enough.
Anyone with a football brian could see it would be a boring season goals wise and to say Hibs play great football is just laughable.

P. s fan wise, Hibs are 4th in Scotland (despite what Aberdeen fans say), so we can't complain about the position, it's the way we play, the number of goals and the number of missed opportunities that's the problem. If we had finished of the games we should've, we'd be 2nd.

Unbeaten in 5 against them 😉

P. s we talk about cover for Stevenson but has he actually ever been injured? Genuine question ha.

Can you guys seriously not see how slow our midfield is with Bartlet and McGeouch being there?

It seems so hard for us to score but each time we do it is such a slow process.

I'm not doubting McGeouch was a good player before he got injury prone but all he does now is easy passing in most games and barely runs.

If he is our best player, why was he awful against Aberdeen and done nothing vs Hearts? Our best player should be rising to the occasion.

He barely ever does anything that helps set up a goal. What is his purpose that other players can't do?

I'd much rather we sign a solid CB and push Hanlon and Ambrose into midfield. Hanlon and Ambros can defend but also run with the ball and attack! Neither Bartley or McGeouch contribute to attacking. Hanlon was bypassing McGeouch and Bartley in the other derby! That's embarrassing.

We still don't know the exact details of Rangers finances.

I fail to see how they could be that troubled. Someone is stealing money somewhere as there's no reason for it.

Rangers had the perfect opportunity to start again and not do things wrongly money wise but they mess up again. Rangers should have been in a comfortable position now but it seems they have football fans in charge ie silly people.

P. s quite a few loan players don't even require a wage.

Murray hasn't proven he can score 1 in 2 in top league yet.

He has the potential to score 20 but should we really risk not getting another forward?

Stokes was rubbish last time he played in league for us so no reason why he'll suddenly be good. The fact he was useless in league but tried 110% in cup final just makes it look like a terrible attitude. I appreciate his cup final performance but there are 38 SPL games with only 4 against the team he hates.

Would you not rather they just stay 9th or 10th so we can beath them 3 times a year? If they aren't in the league thrn we can't take advantage of them being weak. Especially if they get Steve McLaren! Haha

P. s it will be 3 years unbeaten in october against Hearts! Looks like it will continue also!

Don't get carried away. We drew a huge amount of games this season despite having a squad much better than others.

We had a great stadium and training facilities when we were relegated so that doesn't really mean anything.

St Johnstone have barely any support with a small stadium and don't think they have good training facilities. But they do good year after year.

I hope you can tell where i am going with this, managers always make the difference. Teams should perform to the budget they have but managers need to be good too. I still doubt Lennon and we will see if he is good this coming season. Top 6 is the absolute minimum but we will have 5th biggest budget probably. No excuses for finishing below St Johnstone.

£10k when he starts*. Do remember everyone has a basic wage for not playing. And no reason why he wouldn't come on loan as he still gets his total wages anyway.

I would have chosen McGregor over McGinn but Cummings getting dismissed by many as player of season is wrong. Everybody craves for a 1 in 2 striker and he has done it 3 seasons in a row. Without him, we wouldn't have been promoted this season. Just look at who lennon signed last summer, Holt and Graham. We already struggled for goals but would've been even worse without Cummings.

Marciano
Gray Ambrose McGregor Taylor-Sinclair
Andreu Allan Hanlon Swanson
May Hemmings

This is presuming Cummings and McGinn go.

P. s people always doubt it but Hanlon has always looked like a midfielder to me who tackles for the ball then goes on a run with the ball.
